Lower 1 Visit BeWILDerwood

26 April 2024

On Friday 26 April, Lower 1 enjoyed an immersive experience at BeWILDerwood that bridged the gap between imagination and education. By integrating creative storytelling into English lessons, the pupils embarked on a captivating journey through the enchanting world of BeWILDerwood. From meeting quirky characters to braving thrilling adventures, this educational trip offered a unique opportunity for students to explore language, creativity, and collaboration.

The adventure began as excited pupils were introduced to the whimsical inhabitants of BeWILDerwood. From the wise Twiggle elders to the mischievous Boggles, each character had a tale to tell. Through interactive storytelling sessions, Lower 1 delved into the lives of each and every character. As they roamed through the Twiggle Village and the mysterious Marshes, pupils allowed their imagination to roam wild. The journey continued with a boat trip across the murky waters of the Scary Lake, encountering hidden dangers and mysterious creatures along the way.

Lower 1 then soared high above the treetops in the Sky Maze—a labyrinth suspended in the clouds. With each twist and turn, they relied on their problem-solving abilities and teamwork to find their way through the maze. Through collaborative activities and group discussions, pupils successfully made their way through the maze.

The adventure took a thrilling turn as pupils braved the Slippery Slopes—a series of winding slides. With laughter and excitement echoing through the air, they embraced the exhilarating rush of adrenaline as they slid down the slopes. Next, they navigated the twisting pathways of the Muddle Maze and the journey culminated in an exhilarating ride on the Zip Wires— an adventure that sent pupils soaring through the sky.

By immersing pupils in the magical world of BeWILDerwood, teachers ignited a passion for language learning that transcended the boundaries of the classroom. As Lower 1 returned from this adventure, they carried with them not only the happy memories of their day but also an appreciation for the power of storytelling.
